Elyse says she is going to be an artist when she grows up and she is on her way!
In the past few months (when she feels like it) she has drawn pictures of people. Back when I worked at a preschool in college, we learned about developmental stages of kids' art and they showed us that just about every kid at this age draws people with their arms and legs coming right out of the head. Elyse has been doing exactly that until just about a week ago.
It's totally crazy to me that all kids draw arms and legs out of the head. Does it have to do with what they really notice on a person or just an inability to draw the whole body? Did Elyse start drawing the body because she started noticing it or is it just a copy of what we draw?
It fascinates me.
And here's a pic of the little sis, just because she's too cute to leave out. She's still at the scribble stage. :)
